Sometimes life just gels with work. When Possible locked me in a dark room with a list of ingredients for 40-some pairings, it just instantly clicked. Words I had rarely used—velvety, piquant, tangy, savory—poured forth. This was Foodie nirvana, the perfect assignment for someone, who when asked what they are reading these days, answers: “Cookbooks.” I’m proud of this copy. It’s what gave me some real cred at Possible and helped turn a short-term freelance gig into an extended run with lots of free lunches…
